A new law being pushed in Canada by Big Pharma seeks to outlaw many natural health products currently sold there, and even criminalize parents who give herbs or supplements to their children. Additional changes proposed by the bill are radical alterations to key terminology, including replacement of the word “drug” with “therapeutic product,” thereby giving the Canadian government power to regulate the sale of all herbs, vitamins, and supplements.
I’d like to think that common sense would dictate that this proposed law will fail miserably… but if it doesn’t, let’s just hope America and the FDA don’t follow in their footsteps.
