Many years ago, I had lunch with a retired chiropractor and his wife who’d practiced for over 40-years and established quite a reputation helping sick people get well. We were talking about patient success stories when his wife poked him in the ribs and said, “Oh please tell him about the pastor!”
Intrigued, I asked him to share the story.
Their pastor’s wife came to see him complaining of headaches and shoulder tension. He examined her, found that the top bone in her neck was misaligned, and proceeded to fix it. Several months went by, when one day at church, the young pastor stood up and pointed his hand to the veteran chiropractor in the front row.
In a serious voice he said, “I want each and every one of you to see the man who got my wife pregnant!”
The whole congregation gasped. The chiropractor turned three shades of red, obviously embarrassed by the public accusation. The preacher continued, “My wife and I have been trying to get pregnant for over five years, unsuccessfully. But recently we visited his chiropractic office. After a short period of time, I’m proud to say that I’m going to be a father! Thank you, doctor, I don’t know how you did it, but I know that whatever it was, it made all the difference.”
The interesting thing is that this wasn’t a one-time occurrence. Many women who’ve had trouble conceiving children have later become pregnant after receiving chiropractic care. It’s a fascinating phenomenon.
To be pragmatic, there are many explainable reasons why some women cannot get pregnant. In those cases, chiropractic care wouldn’t have the same effect. But what about all the other cases?
One suspect is the nervous system. The communication process between the brain and reproductive organs is highly complex. Billions of neurological functions are taking place every second. It stands to reason that in the case of women struggling to conceive, there may be something physically disrupting brain/body communication. This type of interference could result in malfunction of the fertilization process.
Speaking from experience, Upper Cervical Care has helped many couples become pregnant when they never thought they could. While there are no guarantees in life, it pains me to see people take out second mortgages on their homes to pay for fertility treatments that may or may not work.
If you’re struggling to conceive, I encourage you to consider chiropractic care. It’s an affordable method of healthcare that millions of Americans enjoy and have benefited from in a variety of ways.
