“Nearly half the respondents in a survey of U.S. primary care physicians said that they would seriously consider getting out of the medical business within the next three years if they had an alternative.”
This is a frightening statistic. The thought that half of our medical doctors hate what they do and are itching for a way out is rather unsettling. How good is a teacher who hates to teach? How helpful is a priest who wants to abandon the priesthood? How does the food taste that’s made by a chef who hates to cook?
So what does it say about the quality of healthcare you’re getting in this country when our doctors would rather be doing something else?
