Chiropractic: No Bones About It?

Consider this… medical doctors treat your ailments by giving you pills to swallow. Chances are you’ve never referred to your M.D. as a “mouth” doctor though…

The general consensus about chiropractors is that we are “back” doctors. Presumably, it’s because our work is performed on the spine which is accessible from the back half of your body. Spinal bones located here are important, but they’re not nearly as important as what they’re protecting – your central nervous system.

The reason chiropractors adjust the spine is because that’s how we help improve the function of your nervous system. If the nervous system was located within your nose, you’d probably be calling us “nose doctors” instead.

But the truth is, chiropractors are focused on the back about as much as medical doctors are focused on your mouth… very little!
