The New York City medical examiner’s office has ruled that Heath Ledger’s death was caused by “acute intoxication by the combined effects of…” OxyContin, Valium, Xanax, Restoril, Unisom, and Hydrocodone.
Many people will immediately think, “Well no wonder, who takes 6 medications at once?” And the surprising answer is.. A LOT of people, and many take even more than that… So please don’t think that this is an isolated incident. The lesson here is that medications are powerful and death is an all-too-common side effect.
