Chiropractic Care Helps You Age Gracefully

Ask anyone about what “getting old” feels like, and you’ll inevitably hear something about their aches and pains. As we age, the body becomes more susceptible to health problems because of its persistent wear-and-tear, and decades of abuse.

Stress, poor diet, inadequate sleep, dehydration, toxicity, injury, and trauma can add up fast. Is it any wonder why so many old folks use canes, heating pads, elastic pants, and pill-organizers?

According to the PRIME Institute for Families USA, the average senior citizen will spend $2,810 on prescription drugs in 2010. The average number of prescription drugs per senior is now 38.5!

While a lot of folks visit a chiropractor for relief from these aches and pains, many of our younger patients have discovered that aging doesn’t have to be painful.

Whenever someone asks me what I do for a living, one of my favorite responses to give is:

I help people age gracefully.

You see, chiropractic advice doesn’t just pertain to the spine. It focuses on wellness and quality of life. We encourage people to develop healthy new habits that aim to decrease stress, improve diet and hydration, enhance sleep quality, reduce exposure to toxins, and prevent injuries.

Chances are you’re not going to find this type of advice at the average medical doctor’s office. (They’ve got their hands full writing all those prescriptions!)

With hundreds of drug ads pervading your daily life, it’s easy to get lost in the doom-and-gloom of sickness and “getting old.” But your neighborhood chiropractic office may serve as refuge. A good chiropractor can teach you how to avoid becoming a statistic.

Yes, we’re all in the process of aging, but I have good news for you… chiropractic care can help you do it gracefully.
