Pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly will pay about $1,420,000,000.00 to settle criminal and civil investigations into the marketing of its antipsychotic drug Zyprexa and has agreed to plead guilty to one misdemeanor violation of the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act. Zyprexa is intended to treat schizophrenia, but was being marketed to the eldery for treating dementia.
